This year was like no other! The 1000 Miglia 2021 took place in June instead of the traditional second week of May, due to Covid-19 measures. On top of that, the route was the other way around. So instead of going clock-wise from Brescia to Rome and back, we went anti-clockwise. This meant that we spent the first night in Viareggio, second night Rome and then we stayed our last night in Bologna.

This year is characterized by the scorching heat, boiled feet from the engine and sweaty backs, among other areas. Yet, due to the more extreme conditions than what we are used to from the 1000 Miglia, there was an air of comradery, more so than previous years. We all underestimated the June heat in Italy.
