Nash Healey series 2

For the fourth consecutive year, we—S2 Classic Cars—set up at our familiar, beautiful spot at Wheels at Mariënwaerdt. It was a weekend filled with exceptional classic cars, enthusiastic visitors, and engaging conversations. This year, we brought no fewer than thirteen cars, including three that participated in the Concours d’Élégance. The highlight was our fully restored 1953 Nash Healey Pininfarina Series 2, which was honored with the Judges’ Compliment Award.

This year was particularly special for us. The 1953 Nash Healey Pininfarina Series 2—a project we had been working on intensively—made its debut at the concours in fully restored condition.

Last year, this remarkable classic was displayed in our stand in a partially restored state; it lacked an interior, and the restoration process was still very much underway. A year later, we were able to showcase the finished result at the Wheels at Mariënwaerdt Concours d’Élégance.

Visitor reactions were heartwarming. We received many compliments on the craftsmanship, the finish, and the car’s overall appearance. This made the recognition of the Judges’ Compliment Award all the more special for our entire team. Our colleagues Emma and Jurgen accepted the award together.

The Nash Healey was restored entirely in-house. From the bodywork and sheet metal to the mechanical components, every part required attention, expertise, and craftsmanship.

A diverse collection on display

In addition to the Nash Healey, we presented a varied selection of classic cars. This year, we brought along a trio of Alfa Romeos, among others: a Giulietta Sprint, a Giulietta Veloce, and a Giulia Spider. These three cars will soon be available to view on our website, so keep an eye out for them.

British sports cars were also well represented; a Triumph TR6, TR4A, and TR3 formed a fine trio of their own.

Additionally, our stand featured a white 1978 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet, a Nash Healey Series 1 Panelcraft, and our Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 (G-series)—a beautiful combination of different styles, brands, and eras of automotive history.

Some of the cars we showcased during the event are not yet listed online. These include the Nash Healey Series 1, the Alfa Romeo trio, the Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet, and an Alfa Romeo 6C 1750. A strong concours

Alongside the Nash Healey, our AC Bristol and Bristol 400 were also displayed on the concours grounds. A great many exceptional cars were on show during the Concours d’Élégance, with the jury evaluating them on criteria such as appearance, history, specifications, and quality.

The ‘Best of Show’ title this year went to the magnificent Delage D6 by Pennock—an extraordinary car that rightly drew a great deal of attention at the event.
