Restoration project: Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider
This stunning Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider is currently undergoing an extensive restoration to return the car to its original condition. This rare model, originally sold in the United States and imported to the Netherlands in 2013, has a rich history. The interior was renewed in the 1990s, and after arriving in the Netherlands, the mechanical components were revised.
Although this car has not suffered any damage, a recent inspection revealed that the body required significant attention to bring it to peak condition. Therefore, in 2023, a thorough restoration of the body began, with the car being disassembled down to the chassis. The body is being carefully restored to original factory specifications, including updates such as replacing the floor and sills. These tasks are facilitated by our own sheet metal and mechanical workshop, specializing in classic car restoration and coachbuilding for vintage cars, with experienced professionals.
In addition to bodywork, the mechanical components are being overhauled to ensure performance. The upholstery will also be renewed, respecting the original style and materials.
The Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider: A Remarkable Model
The Alfa Romeo 2600 was Alfa Romeo’s flagship model in the 1960s. Produced from 1961 to 1968, this model was the last of the brand to feature a six-cylinder inline engine. The engine, equipped with dual overhead camshafts and three dual Weber carburetors, contributed to the sporty performance Alfa Romeo was known for. With only about 2,255 units produced, the 2600 Spider is a rare and valued classic.
