Looking Back on the Maserati Club Holland TechComm Day
This past Saturday, October 26, we had the honor of hosting the Maserati Club Holland for their semi-annual TechComm Day. It was a day filled with passion, technical expertise, and Italian flair. With around 40 enthusiastic participants, an interactive program, and wonderful weather, we can look back on a successful gathering!
An Italian Atmosphere and a “Candy Store” for Car Enthusiasts
The atmosphere quickly became lively, with many participants describing it as a “candy store” for car enthusiasts. While Maserati, particularly the 3500GT, took center stage, we also shared our experiences with other Italian classics, like the Alfa Romeo 1900CSS—a classic that has also completed the iconic 1000 Miglia. We started the day with a cup of coffee and an introduction to our business, sharing our personal experiences in the famous 1000 Miglia rally and explaining the restoration process of a classic car. To enhance the experience, we showcased original roadbooks from the Mille Miglia and displayed a Maserati restoration project as an example.
Italian Lunch in the Sunshine
The lunch was a highlight of its own. With Italian-style sandwiches and a delicious tomato soup provided by Bistro Kees, participants enjoyed a meal with Italian flair. Thanks to the beautiful weather, we could lunch outside, allowing everyone to relax in the sunshine and share stories with fellow enthusiasts.
Technical Demonstrations
After lunch, we dove into the technical side of the day. We organized a short, informative demonstration in our bodywork department, where participants could witness the craftsmanship that brings a classic car back to life. Our technical department then offered insights into the dual ignition system of the Maserati 3500GT, which generated a lot of interest.
Scenic Drive Through Twente
In the afternoon, we enjoyed a short tour through the picturesque Twente landscape, which was stunning in its autumn colors. The beautiful roads and views inspired many participants to consider joining the Square Mountain Rally, which we organize annually. Closing with Italian and Twents Treats
The day concluded with a relaxed gathering, combining Italian and Twente flavors. We served Grolsch and Peroni, Twents cheese, and Italian meats—the perfect combination to wrap up the day in style. Participants left with new knowledge, contacts, and plenty of inspiration.
