The 190 SL presented an attractive, more affordable alternative to the exclusive Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, sharing its basic styling, engineering, detailing, and fully independent suspension. The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is a two-door super luxury roadster produced by Mercedes-Benz between May 1955 and February 1963. The car was introduced as a grand touring convertible at the 1954 New York Auto Show, with a removable hardtop, and continued production until February 1963. From that point on, the car was available either as a soft-top convertible or with a removable hardtop.
Some 25.881 examples were produced between 1955 – 1963 and proved to be a very reliable and popular car.
Delivered in 1958, this vehicle was professionally restored by the 190 SL Specialists van Dijk in Rotterdam around 12 years ago and still is in pristine condition. Our Mercedes-Benz 190 SL has the classic combination of a silver metallic exterior accompanied by a red leather interior.
Complete with original toolkit the 190 SL drives fantastic and is one of the most attractive classic designs from the 50’s and 60’s.
