DESCRIPTION
In its day the Aston Martin DB6 Vantage was a car to be reckoned with. It was a highly fashionable vehicle making it a ‘must-have’ for celebrities such as HRH Prince Charles, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Twiggy and Peter Sellers. The Aston Martin DB6 was launched in October 1965 at the London Motor Show where visitors could clearly see the evolvement from the DB4 and DB5 to the DB6.
The most noticeable styling changes on the Aston Martin DB6 were the Kamm tail rear spoiler – which improved high-speed stability – the split front and rear bumpers, a redesigned oil cooler aperture in the front valance, a higher roofline and a longer wheelbase. The increase of space in the rear made the DB6 a more practical family 2 + 2 sportscar proposition. With the factory delivered triple Weber side-draft carburettors, it increased power to an impressive 325 BHP making it the fastest GT at the time.
THIS ASTON MARTIN DB6 VANTAGE
This particular Aston Martin DB6 Vantage RHD manual was newly delivered in the UK and is an original factory delivered RHD Vantage car. It made its way to Australia where it spent many years and was recently brought to the Netherlands and has a Dutch registration.
It comes complete with original documents, build sheet, invoices and service manuals as well as original toolkit and brochure.
This wonderful example was beautifully repainted some 8 years ago in its original colour combination Dubonnet with Biscuit Connolly leather interior. The engine had a total revision around 4 years ago and has seen a few miles since.
The Aston Martin DB6 Vantage makes a great investment and is fantastic to drive!
